‘Bridges’....
... illustrates the rewarding experience of being part of a community that is actively searching for a peaceful solution to freedom and justice for its people. I have simply recorded some of the everyday achievements of the Palestinian, Israeli and international individuals and organisations who work together to build bridges to a better future.
At the SOS orphanage, a boy ran up to me with excitement and showed me a broken piece of blue bathroom tile that he had found on the road. We both knew how beautiful it would look on our mural
Through creativity, such as on wall murals, the children are not only providing an escape from the daily pressures under the Israeli occupation, they are exploring constructive alternatives to violent resistance.
